With over 30 years experience Gina Ferrell opened Prima Hair and Day Spa in 2006, and was previous owner of Ultima for Hair Salon for 18 years. She came from Italy in 1983 where she was trained by top stylists in one of Italy’s best hair school academies. She gains great pleasure out of using her creativity to help her client’s look and feel their very best.

Gina feels staying educated is the best way to keep your style and technique updated and fresh throughout the years. She stated “I have the utmost confidence in every one of my stylists” and feels each one of them brings a unique talent to Prima Hair and Day Spa.

Carmen Patton has been a licensed hairdresser since 1984; with 30 years of experience in the hair business, she has mastered the arts of cutting, coloring and highlighting. She has received certifications in Keratin Treatments and hair extensions along with different areas of hair relaxing. She understands the chemistry behind the chemicals and enjoys the hard work.

She prides herself in her ability to make hair do what she wants it to… she can manipulate hair from the root.

Back in 2006 she met Gina Ferrell, owner of Prima Hair and Day Spa, and there was an instant connection! From that day, Carmen and Gina have worked side by side at Prima. You will often find them chatting and laughing with each other and their clients all while offering premium service to their clientele.

Monsour Moss has been in the Salon business for over 25 years and with Prima since 2002. He has advanced training and studied at Toni and Guy in London. He has also won numerous hair competitions for precision cutting and polished blow drying.

Monsour continues to bring the latest trendy style and colors to his clients that can be used to take a variety of hair styles from classic to modern.

Monica has recently become state board certified in 2017 as a hair stylist and has excelled quickly as a top colorist and is making great strides in the field. Her wonderful personality shines through as she tends to each and every guest. She has built strong relationships with our guests and makes a point of providing her undivided attention. As you speak with Monica you will notice her ease of communication and professionalism. Monica enjoys teaching Dance Fitness and trips to the beach.

With over 12 years of experience Oneida specializes in African-American hair and various styles, relaxers and corrections.  Oneida hails from the Dominican Republic, is extremely talented and Prima is thrilled to welcome her as the newest member of our team.

Elda Diaz is a Virginia Licensed Esthetician and Certified Laser Technician who graduated from Graham Webb Academy in Arlington, Virginia. However, she was born and raised in the Dominican Republic where she received her degree from the Dominican College of Skin Care. She is certified in Endermologie, Advanced Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion (including HydroFusion), Laser Hair Removal and numerous facials. Elda has knowledge and certifications in a vast number of cosmetic and chemical products including La Prairie, GM Collin, Dermalogica, Obagi, M.d. Forte and Kinerase. With twenty years of experience working in medical and day spas, you can be sure Elda will cater your treatments to your every individual need.

Farah Khodayar is a licensed Master Esthetician and a certified laser specialist with 25 years of experience in the field of skin care. As the former Technical Director of Garfinckel’s Department Store Salons, Farah brings knowledge gained through her extensive career in several high-end Northern Virginia Spas. She specializes in providing the uppermost level of service through innovative facial treatment techniques such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair removal, microblading, body treatments, special occasion make up, permanent make up, eye lash extensions and waxing, to name a few.

With degrees from the International Aesthetic Institute and the International Dermal Institute, Farah has also earned several professional certifications from various cosmetic and skin care related organizations. She has won numerous awards for her creativity, hard work, and passion.

Farah has worked with superior skin care lines such as Obagi, GM Collin, Dermalogica, La Prairie, Kinerase, M.D. Forte, and many more, She is committed to educating her clients in product knowledge and customizing a personal treatment plan to suit their skin’s needs. The attentiveness, expertise, and professionalism she brings, coupled with her soothing gentle touch has resulted in a loyal client base from all over the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

Her passion truly is in the science of skin care and through her belief in continuing education, she consistently attends the latest courses, seminars, and workshops to stay up to date on the most innovative ways to serve her client’s needs.

Tina Harding-Ahniche has a BS in Biology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has a Physical Therapy Technician Diploma from the Median School in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1994 she graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage. Tina is nationally as well as state certified in massage therapy. She currently holds a Fairfax County massage therapist license. She continues her massage education through various schools to enhance her massage modalities. Tina has been a Massage Therapist since 1994 and has worked in the Washington Metropolitan area since 1996. She specializes in deep tissue/neuromuscular/mayofascia release massages and tailors each massage to the individuals’ specific needs. Tina is dedicated to her profession and enjoys seeing clients improving their health and well-being through massage.

Bic Nguyen is a highly skilled nail technician with more than 25 years of experience and certified by the Virginia Board of Cosmetology. Through the years Bic has mastered the art of nail care by continuing her education through workshops and beauty shows. Her philosophy is simple; it’s all about cleanliness and the health of natural nails and professional customer service. Bic loves people and is excited about meeting someone new everyday.

Maria is a certified nail technician by the Virginia Board of Cosmetology and is passionate about the beauty industry. With over 20 years of experience Maria is prepared to provide the highest quality Spa services in areas such as manicures, pedicures and opi gel services.  You can rest assured you will receive the highest quality care with Maria.
